    This article summarized the knowledge obtained from exercises with patients using computer-assisted rehabilitation. Working with a wide base of healthy individuals and patients with various problems yielded the results to summarize. This work utilized several rehabilitation devices using computer games and uncovered positive and negative aspects of contemporary rehabilitation procedures. we conclude in this research computer-assisted rehabilitation is the future of modern rehabilitation, so it is necessary to know all factors affecting patients’ health.En este artículo resumimos los conocimientos adquiridos a partir de ejercicios con pacientes que utilizan rehabilitación asistida por ordenador. Durante varios años, tuvimos la oportunidad de trabajar con una amplia base de personas sanas y pacientes con diferentes problemas. Observamos los aspectos positivos y negativos de los procedimientos de rehabilitación en la rehabilitación moderna en varios dispositivos destinados a la rehabilitación mediante juegos de computadora. Se concluye en este documento que la rehabilitación asistida por ordenador es el futuro de los procedimientos de rehabilitación modernos, por lo que es necesario conocer todos los aspectos que afectan a la salud del paciente.Neste artigo resumimos os conhecimentos adquiridos a partir de exercícios com pacientes que utilizam a reabilitação assistida por computador. Durante vários anos, tivemos a oportunidade de trabalhar com uma ampla base de pessoas saudáveis e pacientes com diferentes problemas. Observamos os aspectos positivos e negativos dos procedimentos de reabilitação na reabilitação moderna em diversos dispositivos destinados à reabilitação através de jogos de computador. Conclui-se, neste documento, que a reabilitação assistida por computador é o futuro dos procedimentos modernos de reabilitação, por isso é necessário conhecer todos os aspectos que afetam a saúde do paciente

    Thermography allows contactless measurement of surface temperature of objects, digital temperature display and graduate fields. Currently, this issue received increased attention since it is based on global efforts to give medical thermography in normal clinical practice. It is a noninvasive diagnostic method by which the disease can be diagnosed as early vascular system diseases, skin diseases, cancer, etc. The essence of research is to establish a reference sample thermograms using thermovision devices that convert thermal energy emitted. The reference sample of thermography was a statistically relevant number of healthy subjects, which was the basis for the creation of thermal atlas of the human body

    THE USE OF NONINVASIVE DIAGNOSTIC METHODS IN THE ASSESSMENT OF POSTURAL CHANGES IN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

    The purpose of the study was to extend knowledge about the parametrization of traction spiral stabilization using muscle chains in the educational process. The participants were 26 students aged 19 to 25 years who attended the Technical University in Košice. After getting information about the aim and content of the research the students participated in pretest and posttest sessions aimed to assess postural parameters (Shoulder Height Left, Shoulder Height Right, Shoulder 2 Shoulder Caliper, Neck Back Height, Neck Front Height) using the full body 3D scanner TC2 NX 16. The experimental factor was an intervention exercise program based on the SM system (SM – stabilization, mobilization = SPS method – Spiralstabilization of the spine). This program took place over 11 weeks during physical education classes. However, the effect of this variable on postural parameters was difficult to determine. Therefore, the individual analysis of collected data seemed to be necessary. Our practical experience has shown that individual approach plays an important role. The correlations between particular pairs of parameters were determined using the Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The results showed a significant correlation between SHL and S2SC (Shoulder Height Left and Shoulder 2 Shoulder Caliper) during the stabilization phase (posttest). The interpreted data and actually increasing number of movement patterns in university students create the need to study the anatomical structures both theoretically and practically. Therefore, it will be necessary to design and administer a compensatory exercise intervention for the population concerned

    Dimensional Accuracy and Final Density Measurement of One-, Three-, and Eight-Unit Fixed Dental Frameworks Based on Co-Cr, Manufactured by Using Conventional, Additive and Subtractive Technologies

    For the aim of this study, 90 fixed metal frameworks based on Co-Cr were made by using conventional lost vax technique, additive 3D printing done by Selective Laser melting (SLM) technique and subtractive manufacturing using CNC milling. Constructions were produced by the Ceramill Motion 2 milling machine (Amann Girrbach) and Mlab Cusing R 3D printer (GE Additive). Samples were made as one-, three- and eight-unit frameworks based on existing clinical cases. Initial stl. model was built up on a scanned plaster model of three clinical cases by ZirconZahn Modellier software. Evaluation of dimensional accuracy was made by comparison of initial stl. model with a scan of manufactured framework and analyzed by measurement software.  Density measurements were made by helium (He) based gas pycnometry.  Gained data was statistically analyzed by using T-test and F-test for technologies comparison and non-parametric form of ANOVA: Kruskal Wallis was applied in density evaluation of all samples

    THE MANUFACTURING PRECISION OF DENTAL CROWNS BY TWO DIFFERENT METHODS IS COMPARABLE

    Like all production areas the production of dental replacements, either prosthetic or aesthetic, has recently undergone great advancement due to computer-aided design of dental parts and their computer aided manufacturing. CNC milling, which belongs to the group of subtractive production methods, is very well established in dental production. For the last several years, methods of additive manufacturing, such as Selective Laser Melting (SLM), Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), have gone mainstream. In general, both additive and subtractive methods have their technological pros and cons; therefore, the aim of this paper is to determine how accurate in terms of tolerance of production of ± 50 μm both technologies are and afterwards to determine which of the technologies is more accurate. Given that nowadays the most commonly used material in the dental area is cobaltchromium (Co-Cr) alloy, this alloy was chosen for the experiment. Thirty Co-Cr dental crowns were manufactured for analysis according to the referential CAD model, 15 by CNC milling and 15 by SLM. The crowns were subsequently scanned using a dental 3D scanner, and their inner areas were extracted and compared to the nominal CAD model. The percentage agreement of production is on the level of approximately 94% with both devices, and the average value of agreement as well as the standard deviation and range variation are better with additive production

    Na účely predkladanej štúdie bolo vyrobených 90 zubných náhrad zo zliatiny kobalchrómu pomocou konvenčnej techniky (odlievanie), aditívnej 3D tlače vykonanej technikou selektívneho laserového tavenia (SLM) a subtraktívnej výroby pomocou CNC frézovania. Zubné náhrady boli vyrobené na fréze Ceramill Motion 2 (Amann Girrbach, Rakúsko) a 3D tlačiarni Mlab Cusing R (GE Additive, USA). Vzorky boli vyrobené ako jedno-, troj- a osemčlenné zubné náhrady na základe existujúcich klinických prípadov. Digitálny stl. model bol vytvorený na naskenovanom sadrovom modeli softvérom ZirconZahn Modellier. Hodnotenie rozmerovej presnosti bolo urobené porovnaním namodelovaného stl. model so skenom vyrobených zubných náhrad a analyzovaný softvérom GOM Inspect. Merania hustoty sa uskutočňovali plynovou pyknometriou na báze hélia (He). Získané dáta boli štatisticky analyzované pomocou T-testu a F-testu na porovnanie technológií a neparametrická forma ANOVA: Kruskal Wallis bola aplikovaná pri hodnotení hustoty všetkých vzoriek

It is a device serving to digitalize a particular object and to transfer the obtained information into a form suitable for further processing. The article focuses on the proposal of the scanning methodology and measurement evaluation using the whole-body 3D scanners. It describes the most frequent problems and their solutions within measuring and it presents chosen applications of the 3D whole-body scanners in practice
